Hi there! If you are unable to access the link your submission was likely DQd. The two biggest reasons I DQd submissions were because the submission either used AI or was not a game e.g. poem, non-game focused zine, book, etc. Itchio is also having some funky loading issues lately, so that could also be a cause.

Our game jam has been transferred into the No ICE in Minnesota Charity Bundle! YAY! 

Unfortunately, itch is making us auto approve submissions, but not to worry, this can easily be accomplished by visiting the bundle page and clicking on the button in the top left corner to approve your submission: https://itch.io/b/3484/no-ice-in-minnesota

Please do this ASAP but no later than Friday, February 6 at 12 p.m. PT. To start the bundle promptly on Monday, February 9, we will prune any game that has not been confirmed by the deadline. 

Thank you for being a part of this amazing bundle and supporting Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, who provides free immigration legal representation to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota and North Dakota.

I will likely send a few more emails asking folks to accept their games and then I'll give updates once our charity bundle is live. Otherwise, I'll post updates on my socials and in my newsletter.

P.S. There were a handful of submissions that were either not games or contained Gen AI content. I did my best to DQ them. (I say did my best because there were over 1,500 submissions and over 100 came in yesterday) If your game meets requirements but it did not get transferred into the bundle, feel free to respond to this forum and I will chat with you about it.

I am going through our 1,400 current submissions and disqualifying games that do not mee the game jam rules. The reasons most games are getting a DQ is the use of AI content (ew gross) or that you've submitted something that isn't a game/game adjacent.

Hi all, I wanted to let you know that itchio has gotten back to me about taking all the games from our game jam and putting them into a charity bundle on January 27! (YAY!) After this has happened, I will send an email asking for you to approve your submission/s. We will have to prune unapproved submissions so we can start fundraising for Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota on Feb 9. More info to come.

Many of you joined the charity bundle before we had a confirmed recipient of funds so I wanted to give you all an update that Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota has accepted being the recipient of our bundle and is onboarded on itchio. I've reached out to itchio to let them know my deadlines so we can launch the bundle on Feb 9!

Hi everyone! The response to this bundle has been incredible! THANK YOU! I wanted to give everyone a heads up that the organization/s we support may need to be adjusted. I have been reaching out to LA based immigrants' rights organizations via phone and email daily to onboard them on to itch (a step you need to make before you can collect funds for a bundle) and unfortunately have not heard back from multiple organizations yet. I have gotten into contact with RAÍCES, a Texas based organization fighting to welcome and fight for families seeking safety and freedom in the U.S.

If I am unable to connect with a California based organization within the next week, I will rename the bundle to No ICE in USA to be more transparent. Thankfully, we still have time, and I still have hope. I am trying to move fast so we can get the organization/s we support the much-needed fundraising that will come from the bundle. I don’t want to see any delays and truly want to launch on July 4. This bundle will be the only thing I’m celebrating this Independence Day.

After the game jam ends, we will need every person who submitted a game to approve their submission, this is mandated by itch.io and we cannot move forward until all submissions are approved (or culled meaning they are no longer a part of the bundle.) I will send an email to everyone who joined the game, post a community topic, post about it on my socials, on my ChariTTRPGs newsletter, and in the ChariTTRPGs discord, please be sure to accept your submission when the time comes.

SAGAS boasts that you can recreate any world and bring it to life using the system and so far, it hasn't been proved wrong. I've enjoyed playing in a Cryptid Fairytale World, Studio Ghibli inspired World, JJK, and even a One Piece world where our crew sailed the South Blue. 

The system is relatively easy to learn for new players and creating a character can be done in 5-10 minutes. What you really need to get used to when playing SAGAS is getting unnaturally excited to roll natural ones.

I am so excited to announce that the RPGs for Accessible Gaming Charity Bundle is now LIVE!  

First and foremost, THANK YOU for donating your game to help DOTS RPG Project! If we reach the $30,000 fundraising goal, they will be able to manufacture sets of d4s, d6s, d8s, and d10s of their Signature Braille Dice, manufactured in partnership with Die Hard Dice. A follow up to the RPG dice set, these new sets make dice rolling accessible to blind and visually impaired gamers for tabletop games that do not use a d20-based system. 

If you'd like to help spread the word about the bundle, here is the bundle link, a promo tweet, newsletter post, threads post, and a bluesky post. If you have connections to any folks who might be interested in covering the bundle via blog, newsletter, video, or any other promotional outlet, please let me know! I'd be happy to chat with them!

In total, there are 248 RPGs and supplements worth $700+ for a donation of $10 or more to support DOTS RPG Project. Our first goal is $30,000, if additional funds are raised that will go towards attendance costs associated with attending tabletop gaming conventions in 2025. At these conventions DOTS is able to bring the conversation of accessibility in tabletop gaming to a larger audience, offer one-on-one consulting, present on panels, and have their Signature Braille Dice available for blind and sighted people alike.
