Fantastic artwork and music! Everyone likes a great shooter, and this reminds me of Gradius/Life Force, some of my favorite games ever!

If I would give a suggestion, it would be a better indication of getting hit, but otherwise, this is a great start to what could be a classic shooter!

Great concept! Who doesn't like watching a cat chase a laser pointer. I can only use the web version, so the controls were a little out of control :)

We made a slightly more sophisticated collision detection based on yours (and many others) feedback. There are a few other quality of life improvements, hope you have time to give it a shot again!

Fantastic concept and visuals! I think it's definitely worth taking this idea further after more feedback and testing.

Great job; I had a lot of fun playing this and managed to destroy the big green planet with 400k+ points! Wasn't too clear what I was supposed to be doing at the beginning, but the game was simple enough to figure out, which means it was a good design.

Totally agree on the hit box thing. We used the same simple calculation for every collision assuming everything is an 8x8 sprite, so there’s definitely some issues like you saw.

Absolutely fantastic game! I really enjoyed playing this, and you used the limitation in a unique way. Perfect scope and challenge level, it feels like the perfect size that can be completed for a mini jam like this.

Good music, great style, too. This has easily been my favorite so far, nice work!

I couldn't get the web version to really work. It would start, but the screen was too big and I'd lose immediately.

This was a superb concept, I like how you used the overpowered limitation to its true meaning, where your jumps become so fast/high that it almost breaks the game.

Going into it, I did not expect that I would play this game *way* longer than I played any of the other submissions. It was quite a nice surprise!

This was a great game and idea! I like that the powerups are potentially "overpowered" to the point of making things more difficult (low friction ball!).
