I was thinking about explaining the rules before the game. Or even make a tutorial with a smaller array. But then I decided to write the rules on the package instead.

Thanks for all the suggestions, comments and bug reports.
When I have time I can add an end screen, fix the Opt1 bug, let the music loop.
For difficulty fix you can just add more trees by pressing <PAUSE>. After adding 32 more trees you are guaranteed to have just one solution.
For me the current difficulty is just right. Just put cottages on the board and move them around. You don't need a single solution. Just find any solution.
A nice game. I did not quite understand why the logs roll occasionally. It is a nice idea. But once the log started to roll when I tried to just flip it. The game was really a bit short. But a nice game in the time allowed to make it. The music was ok. And I was suprised to see a dialog pop up when I tried to reset the level.
The game has a nice sound. Infinite scrolling works nicely. Is it a yo-yo you are using against the enemies?
Sometimes the gem to be collected is on top of a structure making it pretty hard to collect it. I did die before being able to get it. Once after I died the music kept playing on and the enemies move. But my character vanished and I could not end the level.
Here is a small playthrough with comments.

Actually.. I am in the final stage of creating a Furnace tracker player for the Lynx. Once I know what this years jam is about I might use it. As the game has to fit into very small space I believe a single sound channel tune could be best. Perhaps just a groovy bass track. Keep in touch if you want more info about how to use Furnace Tracker with the Lynx.
No segments, no lynx_load(). If you are using cc65 you can use the option -C lynx-bll,cfg. It will create everything into one binary with the extension .o that can be loaded over ComLynx or opened in emulators.
The point is: don't use your own cfg file at all. There is a stock cfg file called lynx.cfg that will build a cart. and lynx-bll.cfg that builds a single binary.
The jam is over --- BUT WAIT!!!
All the fun parts of DrunkWitch are still under development and will pop in until Xmas eve.
You can already play the game.
All the nice stuff like
- trolls insulting you
- bad drink reactions
- feeling miserable as you get no likes
will be added to the game (for a small monthly subscription fee).
So, what do you need to do to get this miserable experience?
Download the latest issue of the game.
My recommendation is to download it as late as possible. After all, Xmas should be a joyful holiday...

My problem was that the instruments file was completely wrong. The drums were tonal instruments and the instruments mapped wrong. So the only change is in the music. Due to the last second rush I played it in on my piano in a single run as a spaceholder. It became permanent ;) If I could get the link I could submit a new copy.
I would like to publish my entry early in the game to reach as big audience as possible now when people are in isolation. By looking at the rules I get the impression that there is no restriction to publish early. Here is a small mockup of Lynx pad.

This program could be handy for creating music for other competition entries as well. It would be allowed to use this for jamming some great backgrounds to your game.
