Dan, I'm putting together a 2D Godot team. If you want to provide SFX for us? Reach out to me on Discord if you are interested: Killermniko

I do Programming, Game design, and writing. I can also do 2D art, but I am trying to take a break from it.  Not great at shading and worse at composing.

If it doesn't work out with ZuelaBR, then please consider me, as I'm looking at making a 2D Godot game for this Jam also. Discord: killermniko

Would you be interested in joining me in a 2D Game?  I'm trying to put together a group for the jam.  Discord: killermniko

(1 edit)

Hey! I'm a Godot dev who has made 10 games and participated in 2 jams. I also recently helped playtest a few games. I also dabble in 2d art since I haven't had the pleasure of working with an artist yet. If you want to check out my game, just go to my profile.

For this jam, I'm looking for a 2d artist, Godot Programmer, and composer for the upcoming Game Jam. I'd also be willing to join a team, too.

Update1: Found a composer

Here is my short.

I love the art and how great the game turned out. A lot of skill needed to get around and return in time. Like those before me being able to move around the space station or rock would have been nice. Since you want to stick to mouse controls just use the scroll wheel to go clockwise or counterclockwise if you go in reverse. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, great game.

Like other suggested just some simple tweaks to your ball for animation. Create a 2D animation sprite tied to movements of left and right and up and down. I did up an example in paint real fast to show how easy it would be to modify your main ball. You can do way better with the shading your current one has. I agree with the suggestions below so I'm not going to repeat them. For your first game good job!

The game crashed all three of my playthroughs. I think you have a good concept but needs a lot of polish. Good work on getting something submitted for the game jam!

Not the best at flying but I liked I had some control over the button settings. I think the game fit the theme. Good job.

My game crashed after every retry but otherwise good concept. The only thing I don't understand is the vendetta against birds many of the Godot Jam'ers have. The mechanics are great just need to polish the game a bit more.

The buttons were a challenge for me, and I stink at flying controls. I always have to invert them in game for my brain to function properly. I think some bgm would do the game good and a bit more of hand holding in the beginning. Otherwise like other said this could easily be implemented into a greater game or used later for another project. Good job!

Thanks this is actually only phase one of returning to Earth but couldn't complete the other phases that would incorporate the other wild cards. But thanks for trying out my game. I appreciate it.

I liked the art but felt the robot arm click area to be strange. As someone with a bad wrist I would never be able to click fast enough to complete this task, but I really like the concept. I think with a few play testers and polish this game could be a real cool mobile game. Good job.

I had a few issues with jump not triggering in certain movements but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot. Good submission.

Kind of quirky game. Took me several rounds to figure out why scissors were flying at me. Good entry!

The game is so polished and the art is fantastic. I love how you incorporated the wildcards. I did eventually break the game at trillion numbers were going up but that's what it's about. Great submission!

Controls were very tough to learn for me and could barely kill anything. Got really good at shooting the weapon into the sky. With a bit of polish and easement into the game I think this could be really cool idea.

The control felt a bit off at times but otherwise pretty fun once I figured out the mechanics. Good submission.

This is such a well thought out game and completed it in such a short span. Truly impressed with it. I love the music and art. Great Job!

This reminds me a lot of the Google game. I enjoyed it. Played it like 20 times but never got higher than 600. Good submission.

Yeah, still learning what breaks when switching over from to html. Ran into similar issues with resources and music looping etc... Thanks for playing and leaving a comment.

I love the call back and pun. Thanks for playing.

Congrats on a launch. Glad you enjoyed it.

I like the art very similar to my game. I think the play through loop was good and I enjoyed it once I was able to zoom in and see my ship. Like others it was hard for me to see which way I was pointed as I thought the white arrow was the front of my ship not a target for a while. Great Submission!

I don't know if I was supposed to rotate my mouse clockwise, but it made me fly across all three maps successfully... I went back and allowed myself to roll down the hill instead of super manning. Cute game and concert. I like the art and fits the theme really well. Good job!

I agree, Rayvin did a great job on the music! I'm glad you were successful.

Like Wyatt said I think the controls could be click based maybe so light with left click and heavy with right click in addition to the current button could work too. When it comes to buttons just try to diversify them as much as possible so lefties and righties can play. Now to the things I liked. I really loved the pixel art and old school game vibes. I think what you put together in two days is great. Keep up the great work wish you the best with your next game.

Very interesting idea and I think it could use a bit more polish and art as others have said. Good job at getting the mechanics down.

Couldn't get past the last level and I struggled a lot with the fan + jump + up too many times to count. I like the puzzle aspect of it all. Great submission and wish you the best of luck.

Set, Served, and SPIKED. Fun concept. Music that increased with the speed would have been super fun. Great submission.

Thank you!

Thanks, I wanted to make it seem like you needed to do a bunch of number crunching but once you figure out the trick not so much. Thank you for letting me know about the sliders. I think exporting to html broke them. Too late to change them now.

My biggest hint is you need to focus on the rocket system, fuel system, and weight system. Reminder the Maximum weight on the top right monitor. Thanks for playing though I appreciate the feedback.

It looks good but need some polish and sound effects. Also maybe change the Background color of your itch.io page from the game so I can tell when I'm in the game window and when I am not. Super fun though, I tried 6/7 times and never completed it. Great submission

The game looks great, and I feel like I'm playing a mini game in fallout almost. I think this is a great concept for 20 seconds.

I would love to work with you if you're okay with me using the music for my YouTube videos that go along the GameJams I do. You can message me on discord @killermniko or email me at killer.m.creations@gmail. Example of my game demo below.

Done!

Killer M Niko trying out a few games that interacted with me during this game jam. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for checking out my game and bringing me attention to yours. It was fun and the art was great. Went all the way with the "lick it" theme and I think you nailed it. Great job and keep up the great work.
