Nice and simple, but addicting! Love how easy it is to get into, and the gameplay feels nice and rewarding, though it could use some variation to add difficulty other than simply speeding up, as that leads to a very strict score ceiling, at least for me.
Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up! Speed up!
In case all these wasn't too much already, feel free to check out mine! https://klover7.itch.io/simpler-golf
Had to switch browsers to play it (for some reason the download wasn't working) but it was worth it! I kinda suck at these types of games, but I had a lot of fun! I got over 10k which I'm proud of. The gameplay is smooth and the inclusion of the enemies and their skeleton blocks added a really unique layer and charm to the whole thing which I adored. Really good stuff!
This brings me back to the old days, where I was so into creepypastas I was scared to run any file that said .exe because I thought that meant it was haunted. Fun throwback with interesting ideas brought into it, and really captured the vibe of those old games that used to scare me! I think it would benefit from a lot of polish, like in moments where the enemies are talking to you, the music would be constantly looping with each change of dialogue, and the dialogue boxes would stack on top of each other so I couldn't even read the text. I think the fights were fun, and it genuinely had a decently spooky atmosphere at times. Great job and keep at it!
Great game! I used to love playing PvZ on my phone when I was forced to be somewhere I didn't wanna be as a kid! Like some other people here, I had an issue in the first few levels where some tiles at the bottom just didn't let me place a robot, but it seemed to sort out later, or perhaps I just stopped causing whatever caused the issue. I think the first few levels in general are a bit confusing, I was pretty lost on what I was doing, what each robot did, etc. And that is my fault bc I didn't wanna read everything in the almanac. But I'm actually glad I didn't, because I was pleasantly surprised as new enemies kept showing up as I progressed through the levels! And I think their designs were intuitive enough for me to figure out how to deal with them all on my own! I had a blast after about level 2, once things started picking up and I got into the flow of things, really fun game!!!
Hello all you wonderful people! Want even more feedback on your game? Well here I am! All I ask first is that you check out and rate my game, and at least a few other peoples in this thread (assuming there’s anyone at all) and we can begin yet another rating trade! I’ll provide lengthy feedback on your game on top of the rating, of course!
Check out my game! https://klover7.itch.io/simpler-golf
Yeah that's a good point actually, it's something I ran into as well when I was first testing, but ended up kinda forgetting about it cause of how much I was testing it. If I could change it I'd leave the cam to the arrow keys and nudges to the WASD, probably. But i'm glad you enjoyed it!!! Thanks for the feedback!
I initially thought I wouldn't like this one, but I really found myself leaning into the way the controls worked! I loved speeding through the levels as fast as I could it made me feel like a speedrunner. Great job! One thing is that I couldn't really hear any of the sounds in the game, but otherwise it was super fun!!
Hello! I'll check out yours and any other games in this thread! And feel free to check out mine!
It's a golf game with some silly characters that might be a bit difficult at times... https://klover7.itch.io/simpler-golf
