Thanks for playing! About that bug, I think there were some issues with the streaming assets, where we use json to keep the notes spawn location. Anyway thanks again for trying our game!

Lol I see. It's supposed to be representing gamedev messed up and forgot to save, so they have to redo everything from previous checkpoint. But I see how it can be cumbersome.

Thank you for playing!

About the camera zooming in to the player, yes I should have zoomed out the camera a little bit earlier so that players can see ahead easily.

For the jump, yeah I have to admit, it's not supposed to do that. But I have to do something to keep the player character to stay on the platform that messes with the ground detection. There should be a better way to do it. Thanks for noticing!

I see. That makes sense. Thanks for playing our game too!

I never tried any rage game before and now I know that I suck at it. Great game tho. It's unfortunate I can't even get pass the first floor.

Love the unique art style. Love the UI too. I also like that you implemented the auto-tracking movement.

I noticed you worked on the settings too. In my opinion, working on the settings is optional if the game is for a game jam. Is it just me?

I'm not sure this is intended, but after giving the medicine "nothing" happens. I assume this is because the game is not finished yet? Anyway, I like the the unique artstyle.

thanks. I'll rate yours too.

Thanks. I'll check out yours too.

Glad you enjoyed it! Oh yeah that happens 😅

Thanks for playing! To be honest me too...

Thanks!

Just played the whole game. Peak storytelling. Peak art design. It's almost as if you are not a newbie. (this is a compliment)

Thanks for your input! Yeah, I think we should spare time for the build step to make sure the game is not buggy for players.

Hi, I just noticed that you rated on a different game of ours. Because of certain complication, I submitted two version to this game jam and you might have rated the "fail" version. If you could rate on this one, that would be great. https://itch.io/jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3738912. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks! I'll check out yours too

Hey everyone! This is our first game jam, and while the game’s still a bit rough around the edges, we’d love for fellow gamedevs to give it a try. Especially, if you’ve ever struggled to just get started.

We’d really appreciate it if you could leave a rating. Of course, feel free to share your own game below. I'd be happy to check it out and rate it as best as I can!

p.s: On the first scene, it looks zoomed in for some reason, so just left click to continue.

In this game, you become a gamedev. I hope this game feels relatable to any gamedevs out there.

I noticed that people tend to play the game if it's on browser, which I completely understand. So here is the browser version: https://maveluke.itch.io/devquestbrowser-ver
