The tongue mechanic is such a fun and unique idea, especially how it connects to the title. It felt really nice to control once I figured it out. I did hit the same bug where the tongue detaches and gets stuck and couldn’t recover from that, but outside of that I really liked the gameplay. The bird chase + fish pressure makes it feel hectic in a good way. Really cool design!
Movement feels great! Had a really fun time playing this. UI could use a little polish, but it’s functional and the game has some nice juice. Would love to see this evolve further!
You’re absolutely right — diagonal movement and a reset/menu option would improve the feel a lot. Those were scope cuts due to jam time constraints, but they’d definitely be part of a more polished version.

The corner-sticking is definitely a movement/collision issue that needs refinement. That’s one of the trade-offs from building it quickly for the jam. In a full iteration, movement and collision would be tightened up a lot to feel smoother and more intentional.

Appreciate it! Yeah, improving readability is something I’m still tuning, and an icon above the currently detecting camera could be a really clean solution (appreciate it). I’ll try mocking that up.
Very interesting mechanics, I like how you have to use both the mouse and keyboard to move. I appreciate the art. Let me know if you want to continue this game. Would be interested in putting in some hours of dev.
Totally fair Asfalt, that’s on me for not making it clear enough. The goal is to grab the key, then use E to open the truck doors (they won’t open without the key), get the Golden Pizza, and open the door where it’s located. You also need to stay off the cop car, or it’ll start the timer (with or without the key). On top of that, the cameras detect you, so you need to stay out of their view.
