Great game, was spending quite a lot of time going through this and I'm surprised at the length.

I think I may have right clicked or something and I got the black screen bug someone else mentioned, where I couldn't continue.

I'm not a fan of horror games really, but this one sucked me in and I was having fun.

Reminds me of old choose your own adventure games and muds.

Great work, Great presentation. May have to come back to this one and hope I don't get another black screen to try to complete it.

Couldn't figure out the double jump level. Was trying to slide/ride on the wall to jump but couldn't figure it out.

The hint/instructions on that level hitting w+s (hard combo to hit) or even alternating didn't seem to do anything in combination of other parts.

I'm probably not your demographic for this, but the UI was very polished, as well great settings for the game to map controls. One of the better entries I have ran across as far as polish, but couldn't quite figure out (even after looking at controls) or get the feel of the game.

Is that in addition to the theme and needed?

Was curious because it says it won’t be judged upon, but we have to do it based on the theme.

I'm not a big platform player, but I like the puzzles you have presented with a seemingly simple mechanic at first glance, ends up being entertaining the way you used it.

Not sure about the boxes though, didn't know what to make of them.

I played till level 4, then accidentally skipped back to the main menu after a death, but may go back and play later.

Was fun and a nice entry I enjoyed.

Thank you for playing the game and for the comment!

Started with the theme, then decided on a storybook like gameplay with interactive parts, but didn't have a good way to traverse between locations so ended up with Slay the Spire inspired travel (The part I did).  Was meant to be like a choose your own adventure/interactive storybook game with procedurally generated levels.

I feel we stumbled making the core gameplay loop interesting and strategic enough within the theme and the mechanics we chose in addition to the UI issues you mentioned. I think maybe only one stat should raise and one stat should lower with each interaction, but we had a problem with only interacting with thing at each location (the minimum) was usually the optimal thing to do.

Time definitely got the better of us. Our goal was to have ideally 3-5 interactable things spawning at each location and more locations. We have 2-4 at each location with a random chance some will be there or won't be there, to add variety, but sometimes only 1 will spawn at a location limiting choices.

Thank you for the feedback!

That was an earlier version and we haven't uploaded the final version yet
