Hi. Thanks for your feedback. I liked the first idea. If you don't mind, could you elaborate a bit on the plot or the idea itself? I'm completely new to this site, so I don't know how to send you a private message. Is there even a private message option
And for others: until I've decided on an idea, you can send me your suggestions. I'll let you know here when I've decided.
And the fact that you're making your own game (I just looked at your profile a bit) is awesome, I have great respect for you.
Hi. I'm interested in game development on the Godot game engine. I once tried creating my own game, but I never had a good, finished idea. I'm looking for someone, whom I'll choose from a pool of good ideas (i don't mean you have to have an idea that no one else has ever thought of. I mean, it could be an atmospheric game, or a game with a single mechanic that the game is built around, or...anything at all, as long as you think you, and especially other people, would be interested in playing it.), to be responsible for the creative side of the project. Every change will be discussed with you, but I reserve the final say. So, if you've been wanting someone to bring your game idea to life, you have the option.
What are the restrictions? And what do you need to know?
1) I will not be developing a commercial product for profit; your contribution to the game is not work, but merely the provision of an idea and, if you wish, its further development together with me (as described below) in the same free time, whenever it is convenient for you; you don't even have to be a creative person, I'm just looking for at least the same kind of person who would like to do something of their own.
2) I have a full-time job and hobbies that I prioritize over game development. This means development will be done in my free time. This means it won't be quick;
3) Your ideas must be feasible for one person. I mean, don't say, "Create an open-world survival RPG where NPCs react to your every action"—that's simply too complex for one person, otherwise I'll have to work on the game forever. I'll be sure to correct you and tell you what I can and can't implement, where alternatives can be found, and where it's better to abandon certain mechanics. In short, I'll also be collaborating with you;
4) Since all of this is being done pro bono, meaning free of charge, I'm not committing to seeing the project through to completion. I reserve the right to abandon the project at any point, after giving you notice, even if I simply don't want to do it anymore;
5) The idea can be anything, from a shooter to a survival RPG. But the game's scope must be within the capabilities of a single indie developer. As I've already mentioned, I'll also be involved in revising the idea. Just prepare your pitch and weigh your ideas beforehand so you don't waste your precious time.
So. Sorry for the long post. I don't want you to be disappointed in me. So, what do I actually need? You send me an idea, which I read. If I like it, we'll correspond more privately and start polishing it. Once everything is approved, you don't need to do anything at all, except occasionally answer me with minor questions about clarifying certain mechanics and such. If the game does come out, then of course your name will be in the credits, one more thing. That's all. Thanks for at least reading.
