No I am not missing that there is information on the Discord, because I was on the Discord. And yes, I contributed to the Patreon so I am not getting "something for free."

We are discussing how much has been spent for so little to be released. If you are satisfied with sneak peeks for another two years then I am happy for you. But I won't ignore that he is extracting value from his fans, I assume from you as well, and feels no obligation to return on that value in a meaningful way.

If you support him I'm glad for you. I'm not here to discourage anyone from supporting Komisari, but they should know what they're getting into. If someone wants to spend ten dollars a month to see "sneak peeks" then they should go for it.

I was a Patron in the past. I know that there are updates in the Discord, I was on the Discord, again because I was a Patron. So yes, I have contributed multiple "pennies."

I'm not talking about him needing to release information. I'm talking about how we are at six years of development and half a million dollars and we should have more than screenshots and updates about how there are no updates. Information is cheap, screenshots are great, but it has been full on years.

I understand where you're coming from; but we have almost certainly crossed somewhere around half a million dollars of patron funding across all his financing sources. I assume this is on top of a regular day job, or was in the beginning.

Are we going to see half a million dollars worth of content? Are all the characters voice acted now? There are a lot of questions when the money reaches these levels with nothing to show for it. There was a time when we were providing him over 10,000 USD a month for his general living expenses and that's for the cost of living in a relatively inexpensive country compared to the United States so the actual impact of that would be much higher.

If he turns off his revenue streams: did he spend half a million dollars somehow? He should have enough money saved to not need Patreon or SubscribeStar for months, or years. Where did the money go? Did he spend that money on the game? Or did we give someone half a million dollars to spend doing anything but releasing content?

I'm not against creators having Patreons and I understand the concept of being a patron of the arts. But there is a line that can be crossed where it becomes egregious, and I believe we have crossed that line at this point.

It's five bucks lmao

Yet, they are playable. I think it would be really admirable if you backed up these ambitions with turning off your Patreon and Subscribestar until the release of Chapter 1, to show us that you truly are focused on the game itself and not simply the revenue.

It's particularly telling that he has nothing to say about these comments.

I appreciate your work over these six years; despite your reluctance to add project management among those game developer skillsets.

For general awareness, by tracking only your Patreon stats, the community has paid you somewhere near $391,586 over the past six years. It will cross $400,000 dollars by the end of January 2026. And that's for the cost of living in Latin America, not Seattle.

I ask honestly: do you not feel a need to provide something after so many years after living off such a large sum of money from your supporters? Your monthly Patreon earnings have been going down: is that what will actually force the release of an update?

This sounds more adversarial than I intended; but we can't ignore that you are being supported financially by the same group you repeatedly tell "Sorry >_<;; I was gonna give a release date but X, Y, Z has happened.." every six months. I find it very disrespectful to your audience here, and I wanted to leave these numbers in the comments for anyone considering joining Patreon. Best of luck with development.
