Hello!  We are experiencing problems with this on our Godot game Arise Dark Lord:

We have SharedArrayBuffer enabled, because we are using Thread Support.  It reduces the game load time from 30s to 5s, and has a lot less audio stuttering.  Our exported build above works perfectly on Chrome, but shows a 404-not-found error on Safari and Firefox. I've confirmed it's something to do with the password setting.  Itch seems to open the game in a new window on Safari and Firefox, but perhaps doesn't set the password with the new window?

Safari and Firefox ARE both entirely capable of running that build.  I've verified this by disabling the password.  So this is not an issue with Threads/SharedArrayBuffer not being compatible with those browsers.  With a password set, the page shows as not found.

Right now we are keen to keep the password in place, so is there any suggestions on how to fix this issue, apart from disabling Threaded support?

For the past year we have been making a Strategy game with direct control over your avatar, with some tower defence and spell crafting elements mixed in. You are The Dark Lord, and your goal is to raise an undead army and crush the feckless, godless heathens known as humans.  As your sorcery and your evil army grow, the humans band together and attack your Dark Tower in massive waves.
