Oh hot dog! Should've done that haha.

I beat dark souls, ofc I can kill some robots :D

pretty fun!

The boss fight main thing is to keep moving backwards and just keep rotating at him. Your damage should outdo his by a good bit. Best run in my testing I only got hit once or twice. But yeah maybe next time no random spinning haha. Thanks for the feedback!

Game dev stories like that are always neat 😂

Hah fair. Maybe if we had more than 3 hours? 😂

Thanks! Works as iintended I guess then heh!

I wish if you get rid of lots of bug or some other means to make him relax more in the meanwhile. Seems like even if you get him to survive for 60 seconds he still would be very annoyed right after, haha.

it was a bit too easy once you can just spam full speed from the get go, it keeps you largely in the middle. I like the physics can mess you up a bit though once the disc starts swinging from too much weight on one side.

could need some audio, otherwise quick and fun. the fact the camera followed you in the center though made it relatively easy to keep track of where you were, even while invisible.

why are they running across rooftops instead of taking the streets? and why are there crabs on rooftops?!  lol! overall quick and fun. takes a moment to get used to the slipperyness. bonus points for the crabs and souls 'You Died' font tho :3

so many self blocks. wider levels would've been nice to save on a few retries. level 3/4 was extremely annoying thouhg ( the one with the wheels of death lol)

Fun little game, I love how much gets stuck on the poor diver, lol.

(1 edit)

Very fun concept, knowing different languages I look for key tells which works most of the time, e.g. Umlaute and such.

it seems like I lost sometimes when killing too many civilians? some sort of victory/fail counters would be nice. otherwise very 'Blart Mall Cop' vibes, lol.

Solid idea overall, would love some sound tho!

This is the answer why Kirby usually closes his mouth after a meal, haha. It's neat and I really enjoy the music and sound effects. Just missing a 'kaboom' when you eat the bombs. otherwise, great. If more time was spent on this, probably would make sense that the bombs can either chain explode, or bounce around or also destroy food, etc. to increase chaos.

Either way - for 1h dev time this is solid.

thanks! without the swinging around it was a bit too easy so I added it mostly for giving it enough difficulty and a bit of a 'no no no no' factor as a player, haha.

it was pretty cute! also good choice on the ambient noise.

next time make a web browser build please, with all the various hacks going on that ppl try to do, a local build seems a bit risky? 😅😅

Considering there is one every week... Might just have not noticed that they had this theme before? I think it's fine considering it has been 4-5 years since last time it was used. I just joined here since last week and I think having fun is more important than digging through and seeing if a theme had been used before (unless it was recent).

Typically, I would agree though they should be unique each time.

the theme comes across overall very well. just wish there was more GUI to let you know if you won/lost. I think I ended up typically killing too many innocents and the game started over. But not sure due to lack of UI indicating any of that or other messaging.

there is no way to reach the end on floor 8?

see screenshots below.

I don't like how it's an endless game. I prefer games I can win.

I don't like how it's an endless game. I prefer games I can win. Had a score of 248 and there were 4 rotating arm thingies.

Controls don't work?

Doing more with less is the theme of this jam, no? By drawing the blobs via functions inside Godot rather than using assets, it was actually surprisingly easy to make them animated. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm glad I read about the concept before the jam started!

Much appreciated and yeah there were way more upgrades planned. Had to scrap easily 10+ and got tight on dev window... I also cut the idea of a final boss fight. The shotgun spread is definitely way too strong and kinda necessary.... But hey for first time doing a survivor like I think it came out nice, hah.

Thanks!

I can't draw any better than a 3rd grader haha. So I used godots native ability to draw the assets, plus I wanted to see what it can do with 0 assets. Works surprisingly well to just make it draw with functions.
