Hey folks, I would like to introduce my solo adventure card game to you. It is a dark fantasy game inspired by the Excalibur movie and the Dark Souls series. It uses 60 big cards with illustrations on one side and text on the other side, and it uses the mechanics of my older game, Doom Pilgrim. I have just released a PNP version of my game FLAILS & CITADELS, which is a solo open-world adventure game with roguelike elements that plays like a gamebook on cards. It can also be used as an expansion to my game DOOM PILGRIM.

The problem is I outsourced the making of the layout, and the friend had no time as - fun fact - he is one of the authors of the new GTA ;) - so, now I will rather do Black Bag myself, in around two weeks, and I already sent him Flails & Citadels and he promised to be faster this time. 

Finally, after more than a year-long waiting, I released the expansion for my game DOOM PILGRIM also in the PNP form.

This game expands the original 90 cards of the game with 54 new cards - a lot of new events and encounters to explore in this exploration-survival-adventure game from hostile medieval fantasy world of DOOM PILGRIM. :)

It plays like a roguelite gamebook on cards.

Thank you for your persistent interest! I sent the files to my friend who prepares the PNP version months ago, and didn't want to push him, but it is indeed some time, so I asked him now and will do it myself if needed, so it should be here soon, this or that way. :)

This looks really cool and I am glad to see you released an aschcan edition because it encourages me to do the same with one of my games - it is indeed much better to release a project that is in fact ready rather than keep it on hold for years just because you know it could be a bit better if you have more time to work on it (a situation, that may never come in the future). :)

I have just released the print-and-play version of the Pocket version of my game DOOM PILGRIM. This release makes the game the most affordable ever.

It is an open-world adventure in the form of 90 small cards. Each turn you choose from 3 cards: which path to banish, which path to postpone and which path to take. On the run, you gather warriors gains and losses and your aim is to survive going through the whole deck. There are 3 difficulties: 45, 60, 90 cards. 

What a great game! Only one thing is a bit annoying for me - the need to press "e" for pick up things. But maybe it would be without the immersive fear of being hit, if picking up was automatic...

Looking forward to the Android version too! Windows has tons of great classic dungeon crawlers, while Android has almost none, so you will do a big thing if you transfer it to Android.

This is so freaking cool! It would be great if you make a real game from it.

The demo version cards are three-times smaller. The Doom Pilgrim cards are big, more than two times bigger than classic MtG card, so indeed, this is quite an expensive print, because it has a lot of content and one page cannot bear more than 4 cards in A4 or 3 cards in US Letter, so it makes 25 sheets of A4 paper or 32 sheets of US Letter paper, printed bothsidedly.

Sorry, the picture with expansions is only illustrating the text telling that there will be expansions in the PNP form too once they are ready. The first of them is coming later this year. However, I admit it might be a bit confusing,so I am ready to return you the money if you don't want the game without the expansions. Thank you very much for such a nice review! I really love to hear you like the game even though it is so small. :) Indeed, it would be relatively easy to add content with these mechanics. Maybe will do that someday, though it originated just from the idea of a tiny thing that fits in a wallet bringing a bit of fun and lore around the crazy images of JEGS, my favorite artist. :)

I have just released a small dungeon crawler solo card game making fun of various cults and dubious church praxis.
