I think it's cool to see this game revived but I also think it's kinda wrong to recreate a game that's not technically dead and plan on asking money to help before talking to the creator. Assuming you get that all situated though, I think a different engine would be better, especially if you're planning on adding more content and a tile-based map like you say. I know that's not easy, but maybe something like Godot would be better since it offers much more flexibility and it can still export to most platforms including web. Check out Broken Dreams Correctional Center which is made with it. Assuming good intentions though, best of luck!

The game window is very small making it unplayable.
Using some browser trickery I got it working though, and I really like the concept and game loop of it, especially if it changes every play-through. That being said I really think you should polish what you have before making any new content, lots of bugs like lack of money check for the wine or the library being a mess of broken links.
I love it, such a simple idea that works really well. Only wish it was a little harder, it was fairly easy to make it through unchanged by stopping and turning around to see where I was going. If there's updates planned I wouldn't mind seeing some more variety as well but all and all it's a very fun little game.
