Hi, I didnt see the message, I was late for a good 6h https://zizani.itch.io/deep-in-the-sea

(1 edit)

My advice for future builds is to add a line of text on top of the character meant to be played (as a thougth or a general direction), so it's easier to understand who we are intended to play without adding any UI element

Nice visuals but I took me several seconds to understand I was playing the man on the right and this was not a point&click. Side question, how do I interact with stuff ?

Thanks for playing, glad you liked my button, spent a whole day figuring out. Concerning the sheep, you can always jump on top of them, the jump can be buffered 300ms before any contact

Exactly ! But I should have documented that, I wont do the same mistake later on. Thanks for playing

Unless a bug is present, you can buffer your jumps up to 300ms before touching a sheep and the game will register the jump. Thanks for playing !

I didnt understand the concept at first, but now I need more. Some images (the cloud one for instance) were diabolical

Nice gameplay loop and mechanics, I had some troubles with the dash bieng inconsistent but a fun gmae nonetheless

Thanks for your message. You can buffer your jump 300ms before any contact which means you can always jump on top of any sheep (if there is no bug)

Actually that's a good idea I didnt have !
Initially you had to hide from the light but I didnt have time to make it work properly, but your idea is great thanks

Done ! Thanks for the help

Oh I see the issue, the viewport is smaller than the viewport I used, that's why I've never encountered this issue. And you're right if your screen is smaller than the maze, collectibles can spawn outside of the range of the window.
For simplicity, I didnt add any scrolling features to account for smaller screens, my apologies
Here is what the max-sized maze should look like

They should be masked by the cones of light comming from the bad guy and revealed later on. If not, no biggies it's my bad, I should have made them visible even behind the cones of light

Oh I've never encountered that issue ! Thanks for the report
Sadly, I'm pretty sure I won't iterate more on this PoC
Thanks for the good words
