You need to hover the mouse to the top to turn on journal, inventory, ....  but access them at the bottom, utterly unnecessary

The icons for accessing those things are too small while there is plenty of space

Things like saving, setting and credit should be separated from the rest

Honestly, just change the UI to side bar
