How does your game fit the theme?
The warps can loop you back to starting spot and the whole tower can give a feeling of being lost and stuck in the loop.
The gems will be the keys to reveal the exit portal, thus, breaking the loop.

This is an elegant, fun game. But it's way too long, 30 levels for such a simple gameplay loop is too much, I think. I also think it would benefit from some different scenery for levels, it would help you remember which level has which solution. That said, I did finish it, so I definitely still enjoyed my time. Well done!
I like the lively 8-bit music and concept, but the combination of trying to determine the final path from the bridges, plus the advance post not (appearing) to be the same one each time, made the gameplay memorizing and guessing as opposed to reasoning. Having each post be the same result (say 1 always advances, 2 always returns, 3 always loops) would have been enough of a challenge since you have to take into account the post change for each bridge to reach the desired end, which I personally would have found more fun. The randomness might have worked without the bridges since the player could just focus on memorizing, but having to keep track of both did not work for me.
A nice little puzzle game!
Nicely done, with cute 8-bit graphics and background music that matched the 8-bit and the game’s atmosphere well. The controls were simple and clear.
It felt a bit more like memorizing the steps rather than fully puzzling out which route to take, but it still worked!
The theme—checked.
A solid foundation for potentially adding more challenging puzzles in the future. Keep going! 🧩🎮✨
NIce game and cool you made it with js. Its a cool little puzzle game. I did find however that most of the levels just had 2 options of doors if you followed the bridges (one path would be impossible to get).
The game have simple graphics but i think it matches the gameplay and music.
Yes, there are only 2 doors or portals that goes up and down floor. The rest will take you back to the spawn point.
Nice game. As others remarked, this quickly felt repetitive and did not feel like there was a (fun) skill being tested. I think the re-directing paths between the ladders hold potential for a deeper puzzle though. They make it more difficult to judge where the player is going. If you introduced ways to obscure or expand on this mechanic I think it would be more engaging.
This is an interesting game. I have previously played with the idea of having a door maze but found it to be annoyingly difficult even when I knew all the paths. I think you have a nice take on the portal maze. But I would of liked if there was a method to which portal was the correct one. Making it more puzzle solving rather than being completely random. I failed enough times that each time the screen swiped, I eagerly awaited for the room number to appear. I think it would be a nice touch if the screen transition swiped down when going down a level. Telegraphing to the player which direction they were going. The audio was a bit loud for my taste, I always advocate for having an options screen to allow the player to set the audio to their desired level. I think the music loop is too short for the amount of time the average player will spend fumbling through the levels. The credits sequence at the ending is a nice touch.
Overall, great job. I enjoyed seeing a new approach to a door maze game.
Nice memory game! I feel like the gameplay is a bit repetitive and the bridges are not very useful outside the levels with gems. Maybe the bridges could move each time you get back to a floor so that you can't choose the same path each time you need to restart a floor.
Seeing the screen size, I assume the game was designed for mobile? The concept fits the theme very well, as players can end up looping endlessly if they don’t choose the right paths. The game idea is really nice, but it does become repetitive quite quickly, and I imagine it requires a lot of patience to complete (I did not). That said, the music and SFX fit well, and while the art style is simple, it works for the game. Overall, a solid concept, nice work! With some additional variety or challenges, this could be even more engaging!
Thank you. About the screen aspect ratio, I chose vertical because:
- the movement mechanics was inspired from Ghost Leg game, where the lanes are vertical lines and legs are the horizontal lines.
- I use mobile, no computer, it is easier to type in portrait orientation. (*cries in poor*)
I like the game's loop mechanic, reminds me of a plant puzzle on a Golden Sun game.
I may suggest a more scalated or divided group of stages, so the path does not seem so long and tanking notes is not needed (like more "memory" oriented game), or maybe an in game feature where you can take those notes.
I liked the music, it matches the game aesthetic!
It's a cute game! I think movement felt a little too slow for me. Maybe speed up the guy a bit more. I also think having your own notepad in this game would've been nice, since realistically, people are not going to memorize the paths. Maybe just have 3 buttons for a floor and can choose between like, green, neutral, red. I think it's a simple little concept and a great submission!
Thank you. Those are really good suggestions, colors are easier to remember. And maybe I'll add a text next to button that tells where it goes after entering it once.
Interesting concept! I like the 8-bit art and sound, and I think this core concept is very unique. One thing is that I wish there was more strategy, and it wasn't so random, as I think that would improve the experience a bit. The game could also benefit from a little more polish, but I understand that is really difficult to do in the short time span of the jam. Overall, great job!
Great puzzle memory game, and the music matched the energy. Had fun playing!
REALLY NICE, great job. It's just the right path between difficulty and fun! I would really appriciate if you rate my game too.
