I like the concept. As others have suggested, the layout could use a revision.

My biggest question, though is: why? What are the characters supposed to accomplish other than mapping out all of the effects? Can the circles be used to solve a separate mystery? I know you mentioned that you ran out of time, so I’d definitely love to see this fleshed out.

I should have done that actually.

I'm hoping to find some time this week to return to it and make it a bit more playable.  I think I could have saved myself some time by doing day/night and then seasons, or similar, so the table didn't have to be such a monster! i.e. 2x4 rather than 4x4 combinations. Design wise this often happens to me!

The quest is: find out what is going on, and presumably report back to the quest giver. The curse of something like this is that there's a tempation to see what else it does, risking another chance on the wheel.

(but yes, it's not exactly refined!)
