You have a good base for an incremental game here.  The problem is there is too much dependent on the RNG and it under delivering.  The rate of time to go to the fancy box almost made me quit, but trying to get to the next level box after the Fancy, I never made it as the RNG had me back down to opening basic boxes to afford a fancy again.  the nice part about these issues are they are just balancing tweaks and not code that needs to be fixed.  But the tape disappearing after 1 swipe in the later upgrades and it not doing anything except allowing you to unlock other upgrades, made it an upgrade I felt like I was wasting my money on. 

yeah play testing and balancing is definitely something I would’ve liked more time for
