I really love the idea, and both the page layout and overall game design look very professional. Chinese is a really useful language, and I’d genuinely love to learn it myself. Using puns to teach vocabulary is a great trick and makes the learning new words stick.
The only downside is that players who don’t already know some Chinese will struggle to play. That said, for players who already know some Chinese, this is a great and creative way to practise.
thanks! on the one hand, i can see your point that people who know some Chinese would be able to come up with puns that are more unique to each word and don't confuse themselves with other similar-sounding words, but on the other hand i hope that coming up with puns should be accessible to a larger number of people than just those who already know Chinese, since you would be thinking about how it sounds without necessarily needing to know the language. hopefully that clears things up!
