This game was so cool! I think it fits the theme well, and its just overall a fun game. Here's some feedback

Things I liked:

  • How the character moves from one door to the next
  • The artstyle was really nice
  • Really cool and creative idea about having your soul on the bottom part of the game, and having to use enemies you kill to do your bidding
  • Sound design was A++

One thing I think could be improved was that the game felt quite difficult very suddenly. I think this might be partially due to the enemies being able to move and attack in one turn. This made it hard for me to know what move to make. But its also 100% valid to be aiming to make a difficult game, in which case this point wouldn't apply.

Well done on a really unique and creative game :)

Thanks for taking the time to write such in-depth feedback :) I 100% agree re: the difficulty, it could've definitely been tuned better. I was shooting for the roguelike 'you could die in the first turns' dynamic, but it's pretty intense sometimes - too intense i think since people are still getting their bearings.

Re: attacking and moving in one turn - yep, that was basically a consequence of my super-hastily-put-together roguelike system and not so intuitive/fun😅it makes them super dangerous and unpredictable. I plan to polish it up a bit separate from the jam and I'll be taking your notes into account, thank you! :) And thanks for playing!!
