Hi Pi! 🐱

OMG!!! Thank you SO much for taking the time to play Mora’s Cat Scratcher (in depth) and for this incredibly thoughtful feedback! Getting almost all the achievements is amazing - you really gave it a proper playthrough! (that truly means a lot)

Yes, Fruit Ninja was definitely an inspiration! I love that you caught that vibe! 🍉 😉 hee, hee,

Your suggestions are fantastic, and I’m taking notes, I’ve been bouncing around some of these ideas as well and was hoping to come back to try to tweak some more of these over time. We’re hoping to also work on these same features in this one and the New Plus we’re working on, hoping to get that out by summer if all goes to plan) :

1. Menu accessibility - You’re absolutely right! Having settings accessible outside gameplay makes total sense. I’ll work on adding those to the pause menu and main menu so players aren’t trying to adjust things mid-game. (we’ve been trying to get that tweak/ bug added) Great catch!

2. Tutorial for controls - This is such valuable feedback! I made the assumption people would know the swipe mechanic, but you’re totally right that not everyone reads instructions first (I don’t either, honestly! 😅 on most games). A quick visual tutorial on first launch would definitely reduce frustration and keep people engaged longer.

3. Progressive level structure - I LOVE this idea! The concept of guided progression (like “Swipe 10 toys, no bombs” → “Now with bombs!”) is brilliant. It would give players a sense of accomplishment and make the difficulty curve more intuitive. Having Endless Mode as an unlockable reward for beating the campaign is genius - it gives players something to work toward!

These aren’t just good suggestions - they’re game-changers (pun intended! 😄). I’m genuinely excited to implement these in future updates. You’ve given me a clear roadmap for v3.0!

I’d absolutely love to check out your work! Feel free to share a link - I’m always interested in what other creators are working on/ making. (not to plug anything but if you’d like to follow along, we’ve been actually working on an Indy dev group on YouTube and following our journey as we go trying to work on more projects, share projects to help indies get more exposure, (if they want the exposure lol, some are pretty private and quiet, which is OK too) 😉 this is our fourth (total) project but first true HTML browser game we could get out recently this year and we have a long list of others (in development wink). We’re working on over the next few years and beyond. (we hope as long as my health holds up.) lol

Thanks again for playing and for this detailed feedback. This is exactly the kind of input that helps indie devs like me and others improve! 😉

if you’re interested in our other fishing game, feel free to check that one out too (if you want, lol) that we just posted. I know we need some more tweaks on that one done as well, lol. (love to get your feedback on that one as well. It kind of plays a little bit like the bobber mini game in World of Warcraft if you’ve ever played the fishing mini game that brings up your fishing skills in WOW and sort of an RPG style game and you’ve got fish you can unlock seasonally (to keep bringing people back throughout the seasons) like in World of Warcraft. (password to unlock some crossover passwords for the games) for the Mora universe., It’s a passion project of me and one of my friends for a while now. We based his little male character with Mora on the Title screen loosely on him. (if you’re curious, it’s on our Cat And Fox Studios YouTube channel vblog)

Keep being awesome, Pi! 🎮✨
