Good start! The penguin character is very cute and the background art looks very pretty, although for some reason it wasn't displaying properly in my browser (it didn't fill the screen, only the top left corner?). Some sound effects would go a long way to bringing the game to life imo, but you did mention the game is unfinished, good work though, it looks promising!
