I LOVE the art style for this game, it might be my favourite out of all the games I’ve played in the jam so far! The backgrounds are gorgeous and the crow animation is charming! The sound design and music were also great and created a very nice atmosphere. Really fun transitions too, very well done!
My only feedback with the art is, I think the readability could be better. At first I couldn't tell the difference between the safe and dangerous platforms because they look really similar. While the backgrounds are beautiful, some of them were really high contrast (the level with the bright red trees in particular) which really draws your attention a bit too much. I feel like backgrounds are meant to... well, fade into the background! It was hard to see the crow and the worms against certain colors too, like the dark tree trunks. Just my opinion, but I'd suggest thinking about which values you use in the foreground and background, to make sure the foreground always stands out.
As for gameplay, this might be because I was expecting it to be more like a typical platformer, but I wasn't a fan of the flappy bird style movement at first, and found it awkward that you can only fly forwards, I actually thought it might be a bug! But once I got used to it, I started enjoying it more, and I can see what you were going for now. It's very challenging though! I couldn't get past the 4th level.
Great job overall, this game definitely stands out!
