half dragon is my most anticipated game im going to from now on play test it tell me what areas to play test and stuff

Hey sorry i took so long to reply. Something i do need some play testing done with if you wanted to help with that is spells in game. Not really any areas i guess need play testing as of now. You can press F2 in game to set all spell slots to the max level and F4 puts a spell in slot 4. i am mostly just trying to figure out ways i can make the spells better or have more impact so if you wanna come up with ideas or just test out the spells that would be great. Also glad you are enjoying the game :) and i know you are working on some games yourself so good luck with that.

its alright you took long and im happy to help with the spells

hey also im making a launcher for half dragon so i can just put new version in and it adds your save to the new version

Oh that's really cool. For your info the save file in the bin folder only controls i think just health and camera position. i dont know where coppercube saves stuff when you use the save variable action but it doesn't really matter as i think from what i remember when working on the save system a coppercube program can access those saved variables no matter where on the system they are at least on windows so in theory you only would need to copy the one save file for the launcher unless you wanna back up the data to bring saves to another device

ok ive got the game running in the launcher it can also have cloud saves i can add that easily your game file location is pretty easy this image is the my instance i got running

Wow thats really cool, One thing i am wondering is how would you get cloud saves to work?

so how it works is i connect to a wss server(to a room) and set the save file to a global variable so that as long is the servers on or someones on it will have your save its kind of easy so heres the steps

  • connect
  • load save
  • set global variable
  • when you need it load it
  • then save to file!

Very interesting. Thanks for explaining it
