I bounced of off this at first but the amount of "wtf" intrinsic to the aesthetics really brought me back and I'm glad it did. This is incredibly creative and I enjoy how much this game really requires me to meet it on its own terms.
This reminds me a lot of Skate Story - if you haven't played it, I know you would like it!

Thanks for giving it a second shot! And yea, it’s definitely in the same aesthetic as skate story, just much less flashy haha. I was directly inspired by a much older image I attributed in my game description, and generally by similar synth/vaporwave art styles, and I tried to make sure to differentiate myself and not just copy skate story visuals directly.
