I absolutely love the music and how you made it change together with the room turning into a such a cozy looking home. I'm not good at music puzzles, but I almost figured it out before it gave me the answer. Really well done.

Thank you! Yes, we made everything from scratch except the audio. We definitely had too many things we wanted to add for our first game jam, so next time will be something a lot smaller, but we still want to complete this game when the jam is over.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the scenery.

Thank you! I agree the game lacks direction. We plan to add music and some objectives for the player to follow to make the gameplay more engaging in the future.

Thank you! There's no use for the money yet, but we plan to add a store in the future.

Thank you! We plan to add different difficulties to each fish so there's more variation and it's harder to cheat. It's possible the insects got stuck or were too hard to find, so I'll work on fixing that. The rest of the game will be more polished as well and have more content in the future.

Thank you!

Thank you! We plan to add a portable radio in the next update so you can listen to some music while fishing.

Thank you!

I really like the atmosphere and art style. Some of the areas are really pretty to look at.

The transitions were cool and added to the feeling of wandering for a long time while something is watching. I think the cameras could be moved behind the player so that it feels less awkward when it changes perspective or have some sections where the player doesn’t need to control during the transitions. Maybe ride one of those flying whales which I managed to land on top of and thought I was supposed to follow.

Searching for the collectibles made the different areas fun to explore, and the music was also really good and worth collecting.

The meter was kind of confusing as it seemed to continue to go down slowly until and I suddenly died in my first playthrough.

Good work!

Thanks for playing! <3

The good ending just unlocks a different background image for the main menu.

Thanks for playing <3

Thanks for commenting. Sorry about the missing tag. I tried adding it, but Itch doesn't have VRoid as an option. I'll update the ingame credits instead.

Thanks you so much for playing my game! Loved the video! <3

Hello! I’m Hanauta and I just released my first game called Tea With A Vampire.

Summary

You are lost in a forest until you come across an old cabin. A vampire invites you inside for a cup of tea, but she is not as friendly as she may seem. Every day you will have a chance to talk over tea and learn more about her. At night you will be given the opportunity to explore the house alone. Your choices will affect the outcome of the story.

The game has 2 different endings and can be completed in about half an hour.

You can play it for free here: https://hanauta.itch.io/tea-with-a-vampire

Any feedback is much appreciated!

I have many more projects I'm working on that you can read a summary about on my profile, so consider following if you're interested.
