this puzzle took me way too long bruhhh, btw you can get stuck in an endless loop, placing a stone that always teleports you into the fire...or similar scenario like that
also tips for dev: you may place some hints? or make a hint with the explanation....
(like something you said explained in comments with):
"Therefore, your first scroll must mean "DESTROY FIRE (CAST)" and your second scroll must mean "CREATE FIRE (CAST)"
u know something like that :3? hehe otherwise I think its too hard
Also quality of life could be to make the scroll smaller and place ist somewhere on the side of the screen so one can see it while casting spells. (Later I got used to it because I casted them like 1000 times(had to restart when I accidentally got myself in a loop, and redo until the last puzzle) idk maybe a delete all block emergency button so u don't lose all your progress when ur in a loop, since preventing the player from doing anything "illegal" with so many different mechanics would be kind of tedious to implement from a developer's side)
but never the less very fun and cool game! :)
also I don't know if I'm actually supposed to solve the last puzzle like that haha was it intended like that (structure wise?) because I think like to get to that idea... wow maybe too hard (if it's really the intended solution idea)
but how can i create them? non of my spells I have in the book create them, and the destroy spell i found just by accident like what is the combination and where did I get the information from? (I can't really seem to understand the logical pattern behind the spells.) Also what should this put-eyes-on-the-rock-spell do?
cool art things I'd point out: when its about time make these black transition things move faster/ snappier so the player can immediately see after restart. and also why start from the whole beginning again after collecting a save file? too frustrating but art and music really awesome man!!! keep it up
cool game things I noticed: enemy ai(i'm sure u know it already) they get stuck on walls try to look in to breadcrums technique, other things buttons on menu and title maybe in other font? or some visual ditinction. and ofc the game is kind the same other map? other weapon? but yeah maybe its also just lack of time ik its a game jam, so there is only so much time. otherwise i thought cool little game.:) keep it up!
Cool game amazing visuals how did you do it?
I really love the idea but he gotta move faster hahaha if u know what I mean... or didn't I explore enough to find out i could buy faster riders?
Other things: I placed some goose and there was like literally nothing I could do to skillfully dodge them a bit... yeah not fun(because too slow) , I think one should give the player the feeling to be able to influence the game otherwise kind of pointless game... but music and art amazing. Also one little thing ui clicking wasn't quite responsive idk if u notice, another thing when i clicked on the items the first time I had no visual feedback on: "Oh I can place them now in the map" would've been cool too. But overall really cool game keep it up man
nice game! had a lot of fun, amazing ui in the menu screen!!! so cool that interactive hologram. For me right just right level of complexity to stay interested but not get frustrated. Only thing I could mention is making the control moves snappier. Esp. on the last level it was kind of frustrating that it either moved slow than i wanted it to or lagged a bit behind with the animation. so when it went one tile further than i intended to it messed up my whole movement. But maybe also a bit my impatience haha... XD
it was so much fun and definitely one of the more unique and surprising games to play
even though I found out how to destroy the rock by randomly casting spells broooo I think this game need some kind of hints or Idk... hahah it's just way to hart after the rock thing
like what am I supposed to do? I'd like to push the fire or sth u know
first I didn't know for a long time to press space to use that clock, and then I didn't really understand how I should use them. I only found out that I can walk through some most left most right most bottom doors I couldn't with the clock activated but I didn't really understand so kind of too lost.
I loved the music of the menu screen!!!! so cool. maybe built it in in the main game? would have made the game so much cooler in my opinion... (just not to loud in the background)
i love the sound effects for the typing so satisfying, you could maybe built in a hint system for the first game? maybe? the second game I didn't really understand
also I did understand after a while that the right puzzles get slightly transparent but you could explain that transparent mechanic the first time it happens (a small text box just saying that...and then disappearing again) and maybe you could built in a hint button with how the image is supposed to look like. At first it was really hard until I saw the screenshot below.
the hint image could disappear/ be minimized if u didnt intend to obscure your nice art :) but maybe you could've even added a toggle if u as a user want the image to disappear or not while playing (because it really makes the playing much more enjoyable if you at least the goal) otherwise kind of hard
