A little rough around the start trying to find out where to go but genuinely had a lot of fun with this! I think there's good demonstration of game design here, gradually introducing mechanics that change the way you interact with the main mechanic. Was a bit tough in some parts but was still simple and fun.

I want to eat Norman (I swear this is a compliment).

Speaking of eating things... check out our game!!!

Hiya, would appreciate if you dropped by and gave our game a rating if you have the time, although we already have quite a few ratings already. Prioritize others first!

Thanks for checking out our game! Yeah I'm not really sure what caused the audio issue, I was kinda disappointed about it because our musician put his time into it, it's weird because it works perfectly fine with the download version but it breaks on web.

Coyote time is something we forgot to implement due to lack of time, but yeah I think it would've helped a lot. I think that if I had the time to go back and change things I would've definitely made the ghost platforms easier to get onto, it's specifically spikes that are raised which have a slight problem.

Since my team and I made a 2D puzzle platformer I've been browsing a lot of the other platformers in the jam to see what others did differently and what we could do better. Here's a few that I really liked.

More for Me was a head-scratching puzzle game that really took advantage of the jam's theme.

Rest in Pieces had the exact sort of artstyle I wanted to go for and is super underrated, it was really funny.

Over their Dead Body was a super cute short experienc.

Would love to get feedback on our puzzle platformer if you get the chance!

Oh I saw your game on Ducky's stream, it looked really well-made! Speaking of cat-based games, I hope you can enjoy our cat-based game as well!

We've got a cat you can pet on the title screen of our silly little 2D Puzzle Platformer, Slime Lives!

Very cute art, unfortunately I was not able to go to the moon but at least I got on top of buildings

I had fun playing the game, but I think that having limited lives and the death mechanic not being as interwoven into the gameplay could have made for some cases where you softlock yourself because you needed to die at a specific point, although in my gameplay using it was mostly unnecessary. Almost makes me wonder if it would've been better to give unlimited death orbs, because I think that the time sink into setting up the points outweighs the help that they provide in traversing the levels.

Known Bug: Music looping seems to be broken on browser, but it should work on the download version.

I'm glad you enjoyed that

Puzzle platformer featuring a slime-based character? No way, me too!

It's nice to see that other people thought of the different platform types, I did a similar thing in my game.

Really creative concept!

NOOOOOO THE CAT EXPLODES WHY

Yoo puzzle platformer

WHEN HE DIES HE MAKES THE FAMILY GUY DEATH POSE

Extremely epic game, really enjoyed the artstyle.

Cute graphics! Definitely think that the little kernel pickups help you navigate the levels, should've added them to my platformer.

(1 edit)

I also crashed on level 4

funny game though

Pretty tough game, but was fun.

I wish that there was a better visual indicator to track the items you've already collected, maybe just displaying it in the center and modulating the sprites to show collection. Otherwise this was a  fun game.
