I had a lot of fun playing this one! Getting upgrades during the waves makes it fun to progress and survive the oncoming waves. At first I didn’t realize I can hold the mouse button to shoot, after I did it was a lot easier to survive.

Also the enemy and character designs remind me of patapon.

Damn, the gun sound is so punchy, it makes each shot feel very impactful. Also great work on the vfx it’s all super flashy and slick!

Ok, I think it’s my fault, I might have not used the right renderer for compatibility with other operating systems. My bad… Thanks for letting me know, I’ll fix this when I get the chance

Hi, in my case it works. I tested it now on firefox and google chrome using 2 windows devices it seems to run fine. This is the first time I see this issue mentioned :/

I think the problem might be that your browser is having trouble with fetching the index.pck when launching the game. Not sure how it can be fixed tho

As soon as I ran the game I was blown away by the quality of a freakin’ main menu, those were some really nice looking hover effects. I have to be honest though… I never really learned blackjack, so I didn’t do many smart moves that help me win… Still, I have to admit that the card-peeking mechanic is brilliant and adds a lot to the game. Even without fully understanding everything, I still managed to win a couple rounds when gambling with all of my chips!

Great twist on the billard! Seems like a lot of thought was put into it.

Great game! Defeating Ronny felt rewarding, but at the same time a little bittersweet. With Ronny gone, will there ever be a sequel? Will we see more of Johny in the future? Those are the real questions we should be asking.

Super well executed, really enjoyed schmoving through the level! I did notice the problem with not knowing whether the bullet has hit the enemy. In another bullet time fps jam entry I’ve seen that they flashbanged you in the face with a particle whenever the game calculated a direct hit. I recommend checking it out, game’s called Sea Salt City.

Pretty slick. It’s fascinating how you managed to make it difficult with such a seemingly game-breaking mechanic. At first, you might think it will be very easy since there is no limit to how long you can stay in bullet time, but the introduction of enemy shields makes the real challenge more about proper positioning and being able to reach the enemy’s weak point using the character’s unique moveset. That’s a very good workaround, and it works well.

As a result, the game is now very challenging. Some may like it, some may not, but in my opinion it’s hard by necessity, and with practice anyone could surely beat it.

Of course it’s jerma, it’s always jerma when it comes to nightmare fuel. Lesson learned - always do your spreadsheets.

This is some Sonic-type shit, you really feel the sense of speed. I like how the speed counter starts to shake the higher the number gets, it makes the running feel so much more intense :o

I think the character blends a little too much with the background. It’s not super bad since he’s always in the center, but it’s still harder to track him, especially when the camera zooms out.

The game is very short but has a lot of charm. Very cool that you gain more height with well timed jumps. I also have to admit that it has a pretty clever title.

My only issue was with how much it tanked my preformance, but I guess it’s due to the fluid and fire simulations, so it’s understandable. Even though it lagged on my device I still pushed through and managed to beat it.

This definetly needs a run timer, unlocking the additional mechanic was a real surprise at first, I didn’t expect there would be more to this game. Overall, I really like it! It’s a very fun momentum-based platformer. I’d recommend adding some GIFs and updating the page description, since it’s really hard to tell what the game is really about at first glance. It’s so good and criminally overlooked :/

Such a cool entry, it kinda reminds me of Earthbound! I managed to beat it, although it wasn’t easy since the rng constantly put me against the little guy >:( I have never even encountered the green dude from the screenshots. Still it was very fun and the presentation truly shines!

I struggled my way through, but it was fun learning this unique control scheme! I accidentally hit R during the tutorial, thinking it would respawn me at a checkpoint so I wouldn’t have to climb the wall again T-T

Great insight, I get where you’re coming from. In the early stages of development, the game allowed players to kill enemies instantly after dashing, but I found it was easy to spam and abuse dash invincibility while quickly slashing enemies. I didn’t want to add cooldown to dashes, so the next idea I came up with was to force the player to stay near enemies for the attack to charge. I think the bigger problem might be that it’s just not properly indicated when the exact moment to attack is, but I’m planning to experiment more, see what works, and improve that. A wind-up animation would definitely be a good addition. Thanks for playing!

What the heck?! This is so underrated!! I only launched the game and the music was already such a bop that I just sat in menu for 3 minutes. All the levels are designed so smartly, like it’s unbelivable how well they’re made. The level of difficulty in each one felt just right. Making a good puzzle platformer is not easy so big props for managing to do it in such a short time. The story does the job and is very well executed, making full cutscenes is just flexing at this point :D Just amazing! 10/10

Wow, its amazing how much you managed to do in the given time. The amount of polish is astonishing. Very impressive!

Dude… You ruined it. This game truly lets you live out the fantasy of being a slick guy.

Cool game! I really like the moving background haven’t seen that in other games so far, might steal that idea for some of my own future projects :p

This is just pure chaos and the cube looks slick!

Wow! Such beatiful pixel art and audio, amazing how polished this is. You did a really great job on all the visual indicators. I love it!

Love the art style! You managed to come up with so many well designed levels! Pixel-perfect platforming can sometimes be a pain in the ass and pretty much makes you rely on a huge amount of trial and error, but that’s the charm of games like this.

Really cool! I think this could even rival Garfield Kart 2!

I can only wish my dad had been in the chess club :/ It’s pretty fun nonetheless!

I’m glad someone noticed and mentioned the game title! Thank you so much for checking it out!

Hahaha, yeah, I can imagine it being a lot harder on trackpad! I’ll have to try playing it like that, I also like a good challenge :D

Very fun and surprisingly deep - not as easy as it seems at first. The newly introduced twists on the mechanics require strategic preparation and good risk management. Shooting cards is a big fun factor and I feel slick doing that!

I like it when the seal goes whooosh whooosh and then is sent into stratosphere by an orca :D

Thanks, and I totally agree! I had a couple ideas for other types of enemies that I didn’t manage to implement. I guess it will depend on how I feel after the jam whether I’ll want to develop it further or explore some new stuff :)

Great use of sound and an interesting blend of genres! My only critique is that I think it would be better if there were fewer moments where you have to stand still to kill enemies. For me, the most fun parts were the ones where you had to move and simultaneously slash enemies in rhythm. When you stand still, the platforming aspect just doesn’t bring much to the table :/

Wow, this gives me the most complete experience out of all the games I’ve played so far. Everything is top-notch - the gameplay, sound, art, level design, and the huge amount of content provided. You’ve got something special here and I think it totally deserves first place. I wish you guys the best!

I got 40 seconds on my play time, that’s false advertising! Jokes aside, it’s pretty fun and I like the art style; nice and readable :)

Each attempt made me want to try again and again; it’s very addictive! I wonder how possible a no-hit run would be…

There isn’t much else to say that hasn’t already been said. It was fun trying to beat the game using the fewest items possible. Up until the last level, it was pretty manageable. It’s a masterpiece, well done!

Shooting is super satisfying! It’s kinda hard to get onto railings - often I try to reach a spot and fail miserably. With the tricks, I usually just end up holding one or two buttons forever to refill the slow-mo while simultaneously shooting as many robots as I can. Overall the game is very fun, being propelled by waves into the sky and then killing the guys below feels super slick!

Very fun, but I feel bad for the little guy :(

It was fun serving the clones :D Gets super hectic the longer you play!

I like the idea, but it’s so hard ToT. Most of the time, I don’t feel like I’m dying because of my own mistakes - more like the game is treating me unfairly :/ Lack of invincibility frames makes it hard to survive if the enemy falls on you from above and you get stunlocked against a wall.

I like pancakes.
