Thank you for taking the time to understand the game, and for the awesome feedbacks! We are currently working on vastly improving the tutorial instructions and the overall clarity of the experience. We realize that a gradual introduction to the game rules would have been ideal, but unfortunately we had to rush that part toward the end of the jam, and it shows. We also considered going deeper into the randomization process of the items. As you said, right now the items are almost purely RNG, and there is no doubt that rethinking the item spawn process could benefit the game a lot.
Who knows, maybe we will develop the project further in the future, but we are very glad you enjoyed it even in its current state!
