With the low poly graphics, and the pixel filter this looks really stylish. The sounds (especially the blizzard outside) make the atmosphere work too. The art style over all is one of the top ones in the jam- it really sells the atmosphere.

As for the gameplay- all the types of gameplay were good, but I feel they could be polished a bit more. For example- it irked me, that the door to the house stayed open all the time. It's freezing outside after all! As for the platforming section- controls felt fine but I sorta don't know why it ended when it ended. Did I run out of time? Was that the end? The office nightmare was perfect- no notes here :) Generally I feel like you spread yourself too thin- this was just a 4 day jam, and I believe all the elements would be fleshed out more in a longer one.

As for the theme... I know that I should watch for the "guest", but I didn't see any sign of him! Could you give me a little hit what I should look for? Wait, was I the uninvited guest in someone else's abandoned house? No clue :)

There is one more thing- I don't know if unreal engine can do web builds (UE4 could do it I think), but if it can, do it. Way more people are gonna play your games if you do!

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it.

The door in the game was functional (you could open and close it), but I forgot to enable it again :( I apologize for that, I was in a rush and overlooked it.

In the platforming section, the final goal is to touch the open book at the top, but I should to add more widgets with extra information. After the game jam, I will include those changes. Thank you for your patience!

I had to remove a lot of content because my ideas exceeded what I could realistically accomplish in four days, which is why the game feels a bit raw. I hope you'll try it again after I fix these issues post-game jam!

The core idea is to convey whether you are alone or if there's an uninvited guest who could be dangerous. The village contains hints, such as bodies in bags in some houses or at some nights a random person who is watching throw your window, to support this narrative. The meta idea is to create a player’s schizophrenic thoughts: “Am I alone here?” and “Will there be screamers? I’m scared.”

While UE5 can create web builds, it requires a lot of extra time and sacrifices the potential of the game by removing visual and graphical features, forcing more time to be spent on optimization.

Again, I sincerely apologize for the unfinished content, and I hope you’ll give it another try after the game jam when I have fixed all your feedback. Thank you! 🙂

Don't apologies, I feel like most of the games in this jam suffer from "I had a great idea and only four days". Including mine.

I'm really curious what you'd accomplish with more time. The next goedware jam is in two weeks and lasts ten days, so maybe I'll find out :)
