Hey there, I'm following up on this. I released a patch on Steam today with an attempt at fixing the bug. Are you still having the issue and was it on Steam for you or the standalone no DRM version?

Thanks for the prompt reply! I'm currently playing the standalone, and I was experiencing this issue as of last night after a fresh download.
Also, I don't know if this helps, but there were a few instances previously where I was able to get past the age confirmation screen, but it just got stuck a little later on the menu screen( I think?). I haven't been able to reliably reproduce that version of the bug, though.
Hmm ok, it's troubling that it's happening on the standalone too. Did you confirm if the game is on the main OS drive? The patch I put out on steam mostly targeted communicating with steam's DLC validation, which I suspected was causing it somehow. I'll put that patch out on itch tomorrow but I don't expect to fix it with this one yet.
