I tried it, but it only works for banners, right? It’s not a solution for the GIFs you place in your product gallery (usually shown on the side). I just want to make sure the solution doesn’t apply to my case yet, and that I’m not missing something (my banner isn’t animated).

I even sent a message on X to @moonscript to see if I could get some information or at least draw attention to the fact that this is a serious issue for a store that sells games and assets, and it really needs to be addressed. But I haven’t received a response.

It’s becoming hard to understand how something so specific and repeatedly mentioned on the forum is being left unattended. It’s also something that impacts both creators and buyers. It makes me think that something might not be working properly at itch.io (payouts have been taking longer than before, too).

I truly hope it’s resolved soon! It honestly feels like my product is sitting in a shop window with broken glass.

Hi! It’s been about a month since this issue began (if I’m not mistaken), and for those of us who provide animation products, it’s becoming a significant challenge. I really don’t want to sound insistent, but I was wondering if there’s any official update on the situation. I’d really appreciate it if someone could point me toward any ray of light here.

Same here :( My product page hasn’t been displaying the animated screenshots since the recent changes. They only animate when you click to view them individually. Since this pack is heavily focused on animation, not being able to showcase it properly makes it much less appealing (as other users have also pointed out).

I really hope this issue can be fixed soon!

Same here 🙂 I made the pack because I’ve always loved games with traditional animation, but didn’t see many asset packs going deep into that style (which makes sense, it’s not easy to pull off!).

That’s why I decided to create something to help more games like that get made.

Out of curiosity, how did you find the pack? I noticed a big spike in views and downloads today. It matched a stream I did, but I doubt that’s the whole reason.

He does look like me, since I use him as my default across platforms to keep a consistent style. But he’s made to be used freely.

Feel totally free to change colors, remove or add the glasses — whatever fits your project best.

More characters will be added to this pack over time (different ages, styles, roles…), but this one stays as the default. Can’t wait to see where he ends up and what adventures he has!
